Another great pastime at the cabin! August is the time for raspberries. You don't have to look very hard to find them. This patch is alongside our customers driveway! If you can't make it up to the cabin in time to get the fresh berries, we can pick them for you and freeze them until you arrive.

It is very important to keep the furnace filter clean. With temperatures reaching 36 below zero this winter, the furnaces are working overtime and filters can get dirty fairly quickly. A dirty filter can lead to furnace failure.

If you have window wells that are deep and hard for an animal to get out of, it is a good idea to cover them with window well covers. We have had beavers, rabbits, and frogs (look close at the picture) get in and not be able to get out. I have even heard of a skunk getting stuck in one. I hear it all the time. Does having a pest control company spray our cabin really help? Absolutely. Yes. I have seen spider webs take over a newly built home in less than a year. Not to mention the creepy crawly spiders running over your head while you are sleeping. If you own a cabin in the lakes area and are surrounded by trees, it is a good idea to invest in a pest control company.
